Congratulations to the 2023 Canadian Valley Area Football Fan’s Choice and Editor’s Choice!!

Fan’s Choice

Quarterback – Elijah Fisher (El Reno)

Fisher is an outstanding athlete that has a high football IQ.

LeBryan Hayes (Mustang)

Wide Receiver/Tight End – LeBryan Hayes (Mustang)

A hard worker on and off the field, Hayes looks to be an impact player for the Broncos this season.

Running Back – Cannon Wood (Piedmont)

Wood is a strong runner that has a knack for finding the open field.

Offensive Lineman – Ty Bohuslavicky (Piedmont)

An anchor on the offensive line, Ty is strong and works hard to keep the defense out of the backfield.

Defensive Lineman – Russell Zolicoffer (Mustang)

Zolicoffer can wreak havoc on the team’s opponents and is a disruptive force.

William Elledge (El Reno)

Linebacker – William Elledge (El Reno)

Having an outstanding eye to find the ball, Elledge does a good job of sniffing out the opponent’s plays.

Defensive Back – Lathen Pruitt (El Reno)

Pruitt enters this season looking to slow down things in the secondary.

Editor’s Choice

QB Holden Kee 6-1, 200, Sr. Yukon Millers

An injury sidelined Holden Kee last season, but the senior is back and ready for action. Kee brings a solid skill set to the field including good speed and the ability to make quick, accurate decisions.

Cannon Wood (Piedmont)

RB Cannon Wood 6-1, 220, Sr. Piedmont Wildcats

Despite splitting time in the backfield, Cannon Wood rushed for more than 1,200 yards and punched the ball across the goal line 15 times. Wood brings a downhill running style to the offense and is tough for defenses to handle.

WR LB Hayes 5-9, 170, Sr. Mustang Bronchos

A true all-around athlete, LB Hayes accounted for over 670 all-purpose yards as a junior and is expected to exceed those number this season. Hayes will likely become the go-to target in the passing game for Mustang,

OL Dion Kaulity 6-5, 285, Sr. El Reno Indians

A big reason for the success on offense the Indians experienced last season, Dion Kaulity continues to develop into a solid offensive lineman. Hard work this offseason could prove big for the big man.

DL Russ Zolicoffer 6-1, 265, Sr. Mustang Bronchos

A monster on the defensive line, Russ Zolicoffer accounted for 66 touchdowns and 2.5 sacks last season as a junior. Quick off the ball, Zolicoffer will make it tough for offenses to move the line of scrimmage.

LB William Elledge 6-0, 190, Sr. El Reno Indians

A throwback type linebacker, William Elledge brings a physical style of play to the field for the Indians. Elledge is a sideline-to-sideline player who attacks the ball with intent. Look for the senior to make this his best season on record.

Waleed Gaines (Mustang)

DB Waleed Gaines Jr. 5-10, 160, Jr. Mustang Bronchos

A DI prospect for the Bronchos, Waleed Gaines Jr. is a tough and rangy defensive back who loves the challenge of facing the opponent’s best receiver. If Gaines continues his projected path, he should be one of the top DBs in the 2025 class.
