North’s Underclassmen to Watch

Last Updated: November 14, 20231.7 min read

The North is packed with great players again this season. Here are a few underclassmen expected to make major contributions this year. Let us know in the comments below who we missed.

Perry

Andrew Kukuk – RB/SS – SO.

Best overall football player as a freshman. Always plays hard. Smart and extremely athletic player. Rushed for 650 yards as a freshman. Will have a great career at Perry.

Stillwater

Nehemiah Kolone – DL – SO.

Expected to be a factor for the Pioneers on the defensive front, Nehemiah Kolone is 6-foot-3.5 at 245-pounds and can play defensive end, which is likely where he will spend most of his time. Kolone is a 4.0 GPA student-athlete.

Ponca City

Omari Orrt – DL – SO.

Mari is legit 6-foot-7, 385-pounds and only 15 years old. Wears 18.5 shoe and can move for a big man. Look for PoHi to use him on early down and run defenses.

Woodland/Shidler

Lucky Heath – ATH/DB – SO.

Lucky is a physical athlete that Woodland expects to do big things this year. He is fast, strong, and intelligent. Will see time on both sides of the ball and contribute on special teams.

Pawnee

Aiden Jones – OLB – SO.

Sophomore returning two-way starter. Jones is 6-foot-2, 230-pounds with room to grow. Jones is fast for a larger linebacker and plays a physical brand of football.

Cleveland

Bo Thomas – LB – SO.

Tough athlete that got a lot of playing time as a freshman. He will most likely be a two-way starter this season. Has the speed to play RB or WR.

Chandler

Javarious Wade – OLB/QB – SO.

Javarious played QB and OLB last season, backing up Alec Jackson. Showed a lot of elusive moves and tenacity running the ball. Could see time at receiver this year where he could shine as a playmaker for the offense, while still serving as the backup QB.

Bristow

Cain Clay – ATH – SO. Clay is a very versatile athlete who is smart and instinctive. He will contribute on both sides of the ball for Bristow.
