Week Ten Games to Watch: I-35 Area

Last Updated: November 1, 20232.4 min read

Pauls Valley vs Lone Grove

They are a very good football team. Unfortunately for both teams because of the district we are in it is win or go home said Coach Dusty Raper.

Paoli vs Maysville

Like us they’ve been battling injuries and this game has playoff implications for both teams. Hopefully we will get a couple starters back on defense. We still have to get our Freshman QB Jett Underwood better prepared for our rivalry showdown said Coach Vince Fulks.

Thackerville vs Graham-Dustin

We will go to Dustin next Friday and play Graham -Dustin for the Championship. They are a very physical team with 2 really good (and big running backs) and a huge offensive line. They will line up in a Double Tight set and run power football all night…. I don’t think they can handle the speed that we have so it should make for a really good game! said Coach Mark Barrett.

Plainview vs Sulphur

They are a really good team. They have a ton of speed this year. Tuff kids they will try to beat you up with physical play. Very sound on defense. We’ve had great games against them as long as I’ve been here. Last year came right down to the end said Coach Joe Price.

Stratford vs Ringling

Ringling is a physical team that runs the ball great & plays great defense. We look forward to the opportunity, the winner gets to play their first round game at home said Coach Michael Blackburn.

Washington vs Little Axe

Up next is Little Axe. We have a chance to make it 3 straight years of undefeated regular seasons said Coach Brad Beller.

Healdton vs Elmore City-Pernell

We’ve improved so much this year from where we started it’s exciting to see. As a team and program we’ve taken steps into changing the culture. So we’re really focused on continuing that along with finishing the year right and heading into the offseason with a mindset that’s ready to go to work.

Wilson vs Central High

This is the final district game our position will not change as a result of any district games this week. We are going to use the week to get healthy for the playoffs. We have a few guys a little banged up from the season. Central looking for their first district win. They will play hard as they will be looking to gain momentum going into next year. We just want to come out healthy and keep momentum going into the playoffs. One of our goals is to win a playoff game which hasn’t been done since 1993 said Coach John Williamson.

Marietta vs Kingston

They are really good. Their line of scrimmage is physical and violent. They have speed at the skill position and a really tall receiver in #10 said Coach Alex Doby.
