Pauls Valley vs Marlow

They are a very good football team. Fast and physical on defense. Have a great quarterback that is a dual threat and several really good receivers said Coach Dusty Raper. The Outlaws are coming off a 27-21 overtime win against Perkins-Tryon while the Panthers are coming off a bye week.

Dickson vs Sulphur

They are extremely tough and athletic. They played a brutal non district which is the only reason they are 1-2. They will be the best team we have played so far said Coach Matt Suffal. The Bulldogs are coming off a 62-21 win over Whitesboro, TX while the Comets are coming off a bye week.

Ardmore vs Noble

Noble has beaten us the last two years on the last play of the game. Noble is coached well and our kids are looking forward to the District 1 matchup said Coach Josh Newby. Both teams are coming off a bye week and are looking for their first win of the season.

Washington vs Frederick

First district game of the season. Frederick has another talented team that is led by their RB. Coach Tyler does a great job every year of getting his team ready to play in big games said Coach Brad Beller. Both teams are coming off a bye week.

Paoli vs Maud

Maud is young and very fast. Coach Harrell does a great job of mixing up formations and motions to gain numbers on you. They are very balanced with run vs pass offensively. Defensively they are quick and swarm to the ball well said Coach Vince Fulks. The Pugs are coming off a 48-0 loss to Weleetka while the Tigers are coming off a 76-38 win over Gans.

Maysville vs Graham-Dustin

Graham-Dustin was a young team last year that made the playoffs in our district and gained a ton of experience for their young players. Those kids look like they’ve taken that experience they gained last year and have much higher goals than just making the playoffs. Their QB and RB may be the best duo in c4 this year. For us it’s all about our defense against their rushing attack. we’ve defended the run well all season but this team will create new problems for our defense to contend with. Both offensive and defensive line matchups will be something to watch on Friday. The Warriors are coming off a 42-16 win over Alex and the Chieftains are coming off a 28-0 win over Olive.

Marietta vs Coalgate

Coalgate has new head coach, and some good stuff on film. Their kids come off the ball and pursue really well on defense. Their offense spreads out and creates mismatches. Both QBs they play are very athletic and have good arms. This will be another early tough match up for our super young team. We are now starting 9 freshman said Coach Alex Doby. The Indians are coming off a 53-6 loss to Ringling while the Wildcats are coming off an 18-12 loss to Allen.

Ada vs Sallisaw

Sallisaw is a much improved team from last year. They have a QB that is the real deal. Coach Tyler has them playing hard and a lot more physical said Coach Brad O’Steen. The Cougars are coming off a bye week while the Black Diamonds are coming off a 37-23 win over Tahlequah

Thackerville vs Fox

We expect to get a lead in the district standings this week. Fox is a very young team and with our experience we want to strike early and not let up until we have too. Should be able to get everyone in the game again this week. We had a week off to rest up and heal up so the Wildcats are raring to go! said Coach Mark Barrett. Both teams are coming off bye weeks.

Plainview vs Douglass

We are trying to work on getting better at all the little things that we will need to be good at to beat good people. Douglass has some dangerous skill kids we need to keep everyone in front of us on defense. And execute on offense and special teams said Coach Joe Price. The Indians are coming off a 51-0 win over Comanche.

Lone Grove vs Heritage Hall

Heritage Hall is the defending champions in 3A they are a well coached team with great players and tradition. Their QB is a phenomenal player with great weapons all around him. We have to get off to a fast start and play tough in the trenches to give ourselves a shot. Our skill players are going to have to play great technique and tackle in space said Coach Curtis Cole. The Longhorns are coming off a bye week while the Chargers are coming off a 55-6 win over John Marshall

Stratford vs Healdton

We are just trying to get better each day & working some guys in multiple positions. We have to play more physical. We are excited to get our district season going & working to be 1-0 said Coach Michael Blackburn. The Bulldogs are coming off a 20-18 loss to Konawa.

Stratford is an opponent with a lot of tradition. They know what they’re doing and it’s going to be up to us to execute the fundamentals and really focus on the details of our responsibilities. I think Stratford is going to come in hungry to get a win and we want to have great focus and intensity as well. The start of district play is always exciting because we all want to make playoffs and this is the first step in doing that said Coach Dylan Terry. The Bulldogs are coming off a 50-6 loss to Empire.

Lexington vs Tishomingo

Big line and the QB throws good and defensively. Runs good to the ball said Coach Keith Bolles. The Bulldogs are coming off a 56-0 loss to Purcell while the Indians are coming off a 24-6 win over Elmore City-Pernell.
