Players of the week

Jadyn Suthers, Southmoore So. — Had 161 assists, 48 digs, 19 kills and four aces last week. Provided 38 assists against Mustang.

Addison Polesky, Enid Jr. — Totaled 50 kills, 57 digs and a 97% serve percentage with five aces in the Bulldogs’ conference tournament and last home game. Had a 17-kill, 16-dig double-double against Putnam City Friday and was named All-Tournament at conference.

Ella Ramsey, Claremore Jr. — In two matches against top-five teams last week, the outside hitter racked up 37 kills, 33 digs, two blocks and five aces.

Honorable mentions

Miswell Wagner, Midwest City So. — One of the Bombers’ most consistent hitters, Wagner was excellent at the Big 7 Conference Tournament last weekend. Provided a spark in the clutch.

Abri Nanni, Wagoner So. — Has proved to be a valuable leader for the team during challenging moments and has improved in adjusting her timing in hitting.

Casey Phillips, Duncan Sr. — Had a strong weekend offensively for the Demons, leading the team in kills, and impressed defensively. Played big at the net and led in Duncan in digs.

Baylee Belt, Coweta Jr. — Posted a 90% serve percentage in last week’s four matches with nine aces, 56 kills, five blocks and 37 digs.

Tinsley Mitchell, Catoosa So. — Began the year as an outside hitter/left back and has transitioned into the setter position. Led the Indians with 14 kills and eight setting assists against Locust Grove.

Macyn Neushaefer, Edmond Santa Fe Sr. — Had 27 kills, 19 digs and three aces last week in two matches. “. . . the team rallied behind her performance for our win on Thursday vs. Westmoore,” head coach Drew McCarty said.

Luisa Talavera, OKC Southeast Sr. — Had 50 kills, 12 blocks and 14 aces playing middle blocker for the duration of the Altus Tournament. Team captain had a combined 18 kills, 12 aces and six blocks against Destiny Christian and Capitol Hill.

Malerie Hawk, Choctaw Jr. — Had 40 kills while averaging .204 hitting and had 69 digs last week in action at the Big 7 Conference Tournament and a regular season game last week. Earned All-Tournament at Bishop McGuinness the week before.

Hayden Castillo, Altus Fr. — Had four aces, five kills, a serve percentage of 87% and 12 digs last week. Played both front and back row.
