The Warriors defeated the Wolverines at Vian last season 39-24.

Alva at Purcell

Alva has some good athletes in their offensive backfield and they are big up front. They have transitioned to a spread offense and have the ability to stress our defense. Defensively they run a 4-2 front and play physical and sound. The biggest matchup will be our DL and their OL. For us our key players will be Boston Knowles, Kash Guthmueller, Devan Martin, Jett Tyler and Ryker Fink. The biggest challenges will be making sure we that rotate guys to keep them fresh and we have to win 3rd downs on both O and D said Coach Aaron Dillard. A few players to watch for Alva include QB Cambell Gaisford, OL Allie Pollock and Bo Stewart, RB Daylon Malone on offense. Defensively Pollock and Stewart on the DL, LB Hagan Weirsig, DB Hunter Pfleider and Daylon Malone. The Dragons defeated the Goldbugs 40-34 at Alva last season.

Lexington at Bridge Creek

This young Bulldogs squad is lead by sophomore QB Cadyn Kreuger who showed some promising strides during his freshman season along with sophomore RB Cameron Weatherford, Junior Gavrie Willams and Senior Ean Caywood. Sophomore OL Issac Martin is the best returning player on the line. Weatherford and Caywood are also key pieces on defense along with junior Dalton Brewer and senior Gage LaGacy. The Bobcats will have a two QB system with senior Parker Vansycle and junior Beu James senior Caden Morrow expected to start at the TE/H-Back spot and rotates between LB and DE on defense. Ryan Place and Dylan Shirley are a set of RBs they will look to in the ground game who also play LB on defense, Look for the Bobcats to go to Bryce Benson in the air. Defensively the Bobcats are lead by Jacob Ojeda who is also the kicker. The secondary is led by Kameron Carlton and Tristan LeBlanc. The Bobcats defeated the Bulldogs at Lexington last season 32-0

Marietta at Valliant

Valiant is a tough, physical team on both sides of the ball. Their FB Kenny Golston is a really good player. The line of scrimmage is going to be key. We have 2 freshmen starting on offensive line and defensive line. It is going to come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes. Our TB Edward Hill is a tremendous player and has a chance to break out this season said coach Alex Doby.

Lone Grove at Anadarko

The Longhorns are lead offensively by a veteran wide receiver core in Brody Harris and D’Marion Jackson with RB Eli Kendall in the backfield and as key piece in the return game along with veteran OL Landon Glover leading the offensive line. The defense is lead by Jaxon McClennahan, Sam Harris and Zayne Bond in the secondary and Stetson Bradshaw on the DL.

Ada at Durant

The Cougars open with Durant and it is the first time since 1985 they haven’t opened with Ardmore. The Cougars return six of their starters on offense and eight starters on defense. It will be interesting to see the battle of the trenches in this game with Durant returning University of Oregon commit Xadavien Sims along with Colton Yarbrough in there as well and Ada returning their three top offensive linemen including Dawson Matthews.
