TOP 5 RECEIVERS READY TO “TAKE IT TO THE HOUSE” – MUSKOGEE AREA
With many of the local teams making the most of the passing game, without question there’s a bonafide cast of receivers capable of maximizing their talents to help lead their teams to victory.
KAYDEN MCGEE (6-2, 165, SR.) – MUSKOGEE (Pictured Above)
The Rougher offense averaged over 40 points a game last year and McGee was a big part of that with 37 receptions for 734 yards and 14 touchdowns. He’ll have a good chance of passing those marks in 2023 as he will become the primary target for quarterback Jamarian Ficklin while adding to the collection of D-I offers that he already has.

ELIJAH THOMAS (6-2, 185, JR) – CHECOTAH
A VYPE TOP 100 choice for 2023, this talented junior shines on both sides of the line for the Wildcats. On offense he grabbed 54 passes for 954 yards and 13 touchdowns last season. With colleges watching and making offers, Thomas will electrify the Checotah fans every time he steps on the field this season. Thomas recently made his commitment to the University of Oklahoma.

TY VINSON (6-0, 215, SR.) – WARNER
Tight end is just one of the positions this versatile senior can play for the Eagles and is the reason he is a VYPE TOP 100 selection for 2023. He also plays H-back, fullback and even spends time in the O-line on occasion in addition to being a mainstay of the Warner defense. He also shines in the classroom with a 4.0 GPA. Vinson along with quarterback Jace Jackson and running back Preston Cannon give the Eagles lots of positive vibes entering this season.

KADE RICE (6-1, 200, JR.) – EUFAULA
A VYPE TOP 100 pick this year, Rice came into his own as a receiver last year rolling up 667 yards and eight touchdowns. “He ended up being our best receiver,” said coach Larry Newton Jr. “and we’ll need him to step it up even more this year as we break in a new quarterback.” He’ll also anchor the Ironhead defense at linebacker where he had 86 tackles last season.
JACOB BRANNICK (5-10, 165, JR.) – VIAN
Playing somewhat in the shadows of Masyn Wright, Desean Mays and Diego Ramos last year, Brannick still rolled up 500 yards in receptions on 22 grabs and made it into the end zone 12 times. Now with Ramos and Mays gone and Wright moving to quarterback, Brannick’s role as a receiver becomes even more important for the Wolverines this season.
