Tahlequah Tigers

Tigers’ head coach Brad Gilbert recorded his 50th career after Tahlequah defeated Tulsa Nathan Hale, 72-0, in week five of the 2020 season. Gilbert, who will be entering his 12th season as head coach, has a career mark of 64-57. 

Dae Dae Leathers rushed for 198 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and quarterback Tate Christian threw three TD passes as the third-ranked Tigers defeated No. 6 Collinsville, 35-28, in overtime of a 2019 clash in Collinsville.

Tahlequah has reached the playoffs for a program-record nine straight seasons under head coach Brad Gilbert. During that stretch, the Tigers have had 11 OCA All-State selections. 

Pryor Tigers

Locust Grove was added to the schedule on September 25th. The teams haven’t played since 2009, with Pryor claiming the last two.

The Tigers will be looking for revenge when they host Alma, AR. The Aerdales finished 6-4 in 2022 and edged the Tigers 36-27.

Julian Espinoza rushed 25 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns in the Tigers 28-14 win over rival Claremore.

Locust Grove Pirates

Hennessey transfer Titan Hix threw for 350 yards and five touchdowns and rushed for 111 more and three touchdowns in a 61-7 win over Blackwell. 

Claremore-Sequoyah is on the schedule for the 10th straight year. The Eagles have won the last three in a row but Locust Grove has a 5-4 edge during that time.

Stilwell Indians

The Indians ended a 12-game losing streak to Fort Gibson defeating the Tigers 52-33 on October 7th. 

Stilwell’s record of 5-5 in 2022 was the best since finishing with the same record in 2017. The Indians last finished with a winning record in 2000.
