The 2023 high school football season will once again provide teams and their fans some exciting action. Among the 10-week regular season, there several “MUST SEE” contests certain to produce some interesting results.

 

VIAN AT WASHINGTON         AUGUST 25

This zero-week matchup pits two of the top teams in Class 2A in an early season test. The defending state champion Warriors took this game 39-24 last year and come back loaded with the return of 16 seniors including quarterback Major Cantrell and a pair of D-1 caliber tight ends. Vian features sophomore phenom Masyn Wright who rushed for 1173 yards last season and will move to quarterback this year. He will also anchor the Wolverine defense along with linebacker Riley Ellis. Washington is the top ranked team in the class in pre-season polls while the Wolverines are ranked fifth.
