Washington vs Vian

Overall a great first game. Defense did a great job of slowing down one of the top players in the state in Masyn Wright. After a slow start the offense got going behind the offensive line with Hudson Howard having a breakout game said Coach Brad Beller on overall performance.

Dickson vs Hugo

Kids played extremely hard and had 350 rushing yards against a stout Hugo defense. Three rushing touchdowns, Extremely proud of how gritty we played said Coach Matt Suffal on overall performance

Thackerville vs Wilson

Thackerville was a very good team and well coached. We played really well defensively in the first half only giving up six points and the safety accounted for Thackerville’s other two points Landon Richardson played really well at LB for us all night. We struggled moving the ball in the first half. We had like 40 yards of total offense. We were down 8-0 in the second half we made some adjustments and found some rhythm our Quarterback Tyler Williamson sparked us with a 35 yard touchdown run to tie it up. We then went down 12-8 and Tyler threw a 56 TD to Braxton Lee to take a 16-12 lead with 4:00 to go. We gave up a late touchdown with :50 to go and Dakota Chatham had a 65 yard touchdown run and crossed the goal line with :03 left in the game. Tyler end up with 11 carries for 125 and a touchdown and he was 14-20 for 144 and a touchdown to lead us on offense. Final score 22-20. Overall we played about like a first game. A lot of mistakes but our effort and fight was there. Once again it was a great team we played and we found a way to win said Coach John Williamson on overall performance.

Healdton vs Mangum

Mangum is a solid team. We made some crucial mistakes and they capitalized. We have a lot of work to do, but we’re still encouraged by the attitude of our team said Coach Dylan Terry on overall performance.

Maysville vs Bray-Doyle

Our guys executed much better than we did at our scrimmage and fixed some offensive issues we had. #3 FB Josh Wilson had a big game four rushes for 128 yards and two touchdowns. #14 QB Bryce Shannon had a very efficient game 3/3 through the air 74 yards and two touchdowns and another 78 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. Defensive forced two turnovers and picked up where we left off in our scrimmage. Forcing a shutout was a big goal we had for our defense this week said Coach Dace Lemieux on overall performance.

Marietta vs Valliant

It was a tough night. Valliant did a great job on both sides of the ball. Our youth and inexperience were shown. It was the first Friday night lights action for every starter, but four boys. Coach Nix and his staff had a few wrinkles on offense that we didn’t adjust to. Overall, we made a season’s worth of mistakes, and we will move forward correcting them for this week against a very tough Hinton team said Coach Alex Doby on overall performance.

Pauls Valley vs Lindsay

We had a very good performance against Lindsay. Had 2 mistakes that cost us 16 points but at the end of the night we had 430 yards and they had 129. We obviously played well on defense led my OLB Adrian Gonzalez had 4 tackles for loss. Nathan Whitaker had 8 and 1 for a loss and Jorge Fabela ended the game with an Interception. On offense our QB had 1 rushing and 2 passing tds to Fabela and Maddex Prince. Prince also had a rushing TD. Rayne major had a 40 yard run and we added a field goal by Pablo Amaya said Coach Dusty Raper on overall performance.
