Monday Morning Quarterback: Mr. 300-Joe Medina, Broken Arrow Saves Homecoming, BTW Struggles
The Hall Brawl Lives up to the Hype!
Brad’s Take: Coach Joe Medina has consistently fielded one of the top teams in the Tulsa area for decades. His 300th win would not come easy, but knowing coach Medina, that’s probably how he prefers it. The Hall Brawl is a great game to attend because of the teams, coaches and students that come out for this rivalry. The 2023 version did not disappoint. Congrats to coach Medina and all of the players on both teams for putting on an excellent display of football.
Broken Arrow Over Southmoore in Key District Win
Brad’s Take: The Tigers win over Southmoore could be the jumper cables that kickstarts something for BA. That’s the hope anyway. The Tigers looked and felt unstoppable against a struggling Southmoore team. If BA is a playoff team, they need to step up against Norman North and play to their capabilities.
Hornets Fall to Bruins
Brad’s Take: Coming into the season, no one would predict a Hornet’s loss to Bartlesville, 21-10 at S.E. Williams. The win marks the first of the season for the Bruins. I know, the Hornets played a tough non-district schedule and should be there in the end but taking the L against Bartlesville leaves a lot of questions for the remainder of the season. At Stillwater….at Tahlequah… at Muskogee… at Sand Springs…all games which are tough to win on the road. Only 2 home games are left on the schedule for BTW.
