Monday Morning QB: What We Learned From Week Three
Purcell vs Lexington
Defensively we played a very solid 4th quarters. Real proud of our effort on that side of the ball. Offensively we continue to improve both our running game and our efficiency said Coach Aaron Dillard.
Healdton vs Empire
They played well. They were physical up front on both sides of the ball and took over the game with their run game. On a positive note we had some younger players step up for us and earned some more playing time. Our focus is on the details and improving each day said Coach Dylan Terry.
Paoli vs Weleetka
Just a good old fashioned tail kicking. We were on the wrong end of it all night. Our kids played hard but busted assignments and a lack of discipline prevented us from having sustained drives, and stopping the Outlaws. Coaches have to do a better job and get back to work on Monday said Coach Vince Fulks.
Wilson vs Temple
We played really well Friday. We scored on two of our first 3 plays from scrimmage. Our first unit played 1 quarter and scored 40 without giving up any points. The 2nd quarter our young guys got some quality time on the field. We ended up rushing for 256 yards on 15 Carries and we were 5 of 7 for 118 through the air in 2 quarters. We ended with up forcing 2 Int’s and recovering a fumble. It was a good night for us and something we needed going into the bye week said Coach John Williamson.
