Washington vs Sulphur

I was very proud of how the team handled the physicality and speed of Sulphur. We were able to generate some big plays on offense and timely turnovers on defense to help us preserve the win said Coach Brad Beller.

Pauls Valley vs Davis

It was a crazy game. Tale of 2 halves Davis dominated the first half then we turned it around after that. Our kids are doing a great job overcoming adversity. We trailed 29-12 heading into the 4th quarter. Both sides of the ball really got going after halftime. Our QB Tanner Perry overcame 2 early fumbles and a bad start to throw for 158 and 3 tds. Also had 53 and a TD Rushing. Maddex prince had 136 rushing and receiving had a 54 yard TD catch and made huge catches in the last 3 drives and also had an interception on defense. Jorge Fabela had the game winning TD catch. John Grimmett had 14 tackles 1 interception and a TD catch. Nathan Whitaker also had a big game defensively with 13 tackles said Coach Dusty Raper.

Dickson vs Tishomingo

Our defense was the focal point this week. 4 interceptions and 2 fumble recovers the loan td was a pick six from sophomore Caleb Casas said Coach Matt Suffal.

Maysville vs Mt. View-Gotebo

A sloppy game for us offensively. We had 2 long tds called back because of penalties, a kickoff td return called back because of a penalty. Just couldn’t get our footing offensively. Offense put the defense in bad positions all night which lead to the 26 points given up in the first half. Offense was also struck by the turnover bug, 4 giveaways. Defense did pitch a shutout against a very explosive MVG offense so our staff was definitely pleased to see that. Offense just isn’t where we want it right so this bye week comes at a perfect time said Coach Dace Lemieux.

Paoli vs Temple

Ugly game with a victory. We had several starters out with illnesses or injuries. Senior Caleb Brown Stepped up on both sides of the ball as did juniors Scotty Garrett De, Qb and Conner Boone WR, safety. Garrett and Boone had 3 TD’s each. Temple was tough and never gave up. They are a really tough squad that’s gonna mix things up and fight for a playoff spot in their district. As mentioned we had 7 players not suited up, but the boys that did fought and scratched their way to victory. Now we have to shift our focus to next week’s opponent Bray-Doyle said Coach Vince Fulks.

Healdton vs Walters

We had a good 1st quarter, but they started to pull away. We played hard and competed the entire game said Coach Dylan Terry.

Thackerville vs Ryan

First half was a back and forth battle with each team scoring , they scored a TD as time ran out in the first half to go up 32-16…. Several key injuries to 4-5 of my starters put us in a bind and having to play some young kids Ryan began to pull away. Justice Rodriguez threw for 207 yards and 2 TDS and rushed for another 63 yards. Defensively Aziz Hernandez had 9 tackles (5 solos), Lucas Joyner had 8 tackles. We need to heal up this week as we take on Temple and if we are healthy I feel we will get in the winning track said Coach Mark Barrett

Wilson vs Hollis

We lost 28-12. We played well defensively only giving up 20 points and of those 20. Two TDs came from one busted assignment on each drive. One lead to a long TD run and the other came from a 4th and 10 and the DB got caught looking in the backfield. Outside of those two we played really sound football forcing 4 fumbles on the night. Hollis is really good at what they do offensively they execute the flex one option well. Defensively Alex McKendrick played really well causing a couple fumbles and recovering one as well. We are still trying to find ourself offensively. We have a few guys up front hurt right now and we are deep into our depth chart with the big guys. We moved the ball well at times. We just have to finish drives and stop making mistakes. We had the ball 4 times inside the red zone and only came away with 1 TD. With the other coming outside the red zone. Tyler Williamson lead us this week offensively with 104 yards rushing on 18 Carries and a TD Isaiah Gibson also had 90 yards on 15 Carries. Williamson was 14-32 for 155 and a TD with a couple Interceptions. Dakota Chatham had 6 catches for 46 yards to lead us in receiving. Overall the kids fought hard for four full quarters we just need to find our identity on offense and when we do I think we have a chance to be a really good football team said Coach John Williamson.

Plainview vs Pilot Point TX

Our kid’s execution for a week one game was pretty good. We still are looking for better but I feel like we are at a good starting point for growth. Blake Stewart ran for 174 and 3 TDS. Cooper Flowers was 14/21 for 151 yards, Two touchdowns, One interception. Defense played well 2 forced fumbles. Held PP in check except for one drive. Leading tackler was Devyn Anderson and Bradon French with 7 solo each said Coach Joe Price.
