Grand Lake Area Softball Underclassmen to Watch
The Grand Lake Area is full of outstanding softball players. Here is a closer look at underclassmen that could make a big difference for their teams this season.
JAY
Jovie Ward- 3B/UTL – FR.
Jovie is a player that can be trusted to make a play at every position on the field. She not only brings lockdown defense, but she also has a very good bat.
GROVE
Kenzie Guinn- P/IF- FR.
Kenzie is expected to get a lot of at bats and could possibly start in the infield. She brings the energy and skill that will help Grove find success.
CLAREMORE
Amaeli Foster- P/IF- SO.
Amaeli was an All-District Honorable Mention as a freshman. She batted .381 while starting at second base, and she also pitched over 50 innings. She will be a pivotal part of Claremore’s success over the next few years.
FAIRLAND
Calli Moncada- 3B/OF/UTL- SO.
Calli fought injuries her freshman season but is looking to come back with a vengeance. She is an all around good player that will do big things this season.
QUAPAW
Talan Richardson- SS- SO.
Talan performed in the clutch last season for Quapaw. She had multiple big hits in the playoffs and ended the season with a .315 batting average. She will be starting at shortstop and be given a bigger workload this season. She will turn the bigger workload into more success for her team.
ADAIR
Finley Grubbs- OF- SO.
Finley started last season as a freshman and was a big factor for her teams success. She is a big time player that makes big time plays. She has high expectations going into her sophomore season.
BARTLESVILLE
Savannah Alden- IF- FR.
Savannah had a very good junior high career and is expected to make an immediate impact for Bartlesville. She brings excellent defense and a very powerful bat.
COMMERCE
Irish McCleary- C/UTL- SO.
Irish was the starting catcher her entire freshman season. She gives 110% effort every time she walks across the chalk line and she is expected to have a very good season.
