Class 3A #1 Heritage Hall (1-0) @ Class 4A #7 Clinton (1-1)

The Red Tornadoes will try to bounce back from a Week 1 28-0 shutout loss to Bishop McGuiness by upsetting the 3A defending champion Chargers. Heritage Hall handled Millwood 47-24 in Week 1. OU commit Andy Bass accounted for six TDs. This will be the 14th straight season these two powerhouses will play. Clinton won 28-7 a year ago, but Heritage Hall leads the series 10-3.

Game of the Week 1A

Class 4A #5 Elk City (2-0) @ Texas Class 3A #1 Canadian (2-0)

Both these teams were semifinalist in their respective states a year ago. They played an overtime thriller a year ago, a 37-36 Elk City victory. Both teams have started their seasons with a pair of wins. Elk City’s defeated Altus and Bridge Creek. Canadian’s two wins have come against Seminole, Ok and Bushland, TX. The Wildcats have lit the scoreboard on fire with back-to-back 55 point outbursts.

Another Road Test for Weatherford

Class 4A #9 Weatherford (1-1) @ Class 5A El Reno (1-1)

Weatherford bounced back from a season opening loss to Newcastle with a 37-17 win over Kingfisher. The Eagles have gotten big nights in the first two games from receivers not named CJ Nickson. Nick Jett caught 4 passes and returned a kickoff for a TD against the Yellowjackets. The Indians fought hard in a 14-6 loss to Piedmont.
