Cantrell Sets School Touchdown Record as Washington Continues Dominance And Other Area Action: Week Five Monday Morning QB
Washington vs Community Christian
We had a dominant defensive performance! First defense only allowed one first down and 21 yards. The offensive was potent through the air, Major Cantrell set a school record with six passing touchdowns said Coach Brad Beller.
Ada vs Hilldale
The Hilldale game turned in a defensive battle, we struggled blocking their front guys consistently. We have to work harder on our perimeter blocking with our skill guys! said Coach Brad O’Steen.
Pauls Valley vs Heritage Hall
They are an outstanding team. They are one of the fastest teams we have played. On defense they do a good job of bending but not breaking. They stopped us three times inside the 10 said Coach Dusty Raper.
Caddo vs Wilson
We played really good at times. We just need to find a way to be more consistent. We have really been working on eliminating mistakes. We moved the ball well at times. Caddo is a very explosive offense and they do a great job of putting pressure on defenses that they face said Coach John Williamson.
Paoli vs Bowlegs
Very physical game. Back and forth until 8:00 min left in the fourth where we were able to score a couple of unanswered touchdowns winning 38-20 said Coach Vince Fulks
Marietta vs Atoka
We made a ton of improvements this week. There was still a gap in experience, and Atoka had a couple of athletes with great speed. I believe we had five takeaways on defense and we moved the ball better, but struggled to finish drives said Coach Alex Doby.
Maysville vs Fox
It was a good game for our offense to get some much needed confidence. Gavin Martin sophomore running back rushed for 190 yards and had five rushing touchdowns. Our defense gave up points on Fox’s first two drives then tightened up and didn’t give up a point the rest of the game. Needed to get our first district win so our offense played with much more urgency and confident than we have. Holden Tyler senior QB managed the offense well once again said Coach Dace Lemieux.
Thackerville vs Saskawa
This was another big District win for us and puts us at the top of the District for now. Sasakwa was a young team but had several good athletes that could hurt you if you missed tackles which we did twice and enabled them to score twice, Again Justice Rodriguez had another big game , throwing three touchdown passes to Luke Foremen and he had a pick six on defense. We still need to get better in a couple of areas and with a little more time we will correct those things… we don’t wanna peak too early said Coach Mark Barrett.
Stratford vs Wayne
We struggled getting some things going consistently early, but had a couple of big plays. Lincoln Hall had a bid scramble early & Walker Chandler had a touchdown reception late in the first half. We got a little bit of a run game going in the 2nd half with Hall & Justin Arriaga. The defense played solid all night said Coach Michael Blackburn.
Plainview vs Dickson
Cooper Flowers sophomore QB threw for 303 yards and five touchdowns. Braden French WR junior had two touchdowns and 178 yds. Blake Stewart had 115yds on 8 carries and two touchdowns. eight tackles and two tackles for loss said Coach Joe Price.
Healdton vs Rush Springs
Last week against Rush Springs was a good game for us. We took some steps in the right direction. It was a tough loss and just didn’t make enough plays and had too many mistakes to come out on top said Coach Dylan Terry.
