3 Northwest Area Games to Watch: Fairview Rolls into Hooker, Kingfisher at Home, Minco Big Over Cashion

Fairview Yellowjackets at Hooker Bulldogs

Brad’s Take: Is it just me or is Fairview on a mission? They go on the road to take on the Bulldogs of Hooker in a district A-1 game that could decide the district. Yep! This early. Fairview, 3-0, has outscored opponents 139-27. Meanwhile, Hooker is 2-1 with a point differential of 120-65 in their favor. Hooker’s only loss came in week 0 to a team from Texas. This game is setting up to be a great contest. Hooker at home is tough, but I like Fairview to take the win, 42-34.

Perkins-Tryon Demons at Kingfisher Yellowjackets

Brad’s Take: This game smells like an upset even though Kingfisher is at home. The Yellowjackets are 0-3 and host the 2-1 Demons. Both were preseason picks to make the playoffs. If that is going to happen for Kingfisher, they better get off the goose eggs and get that W. Kingfisher has the talent to make this a dogfight. I like the Yellowjackets at home, 20-19 in what could kick off a nice run for Kingfisher.

Minco Bulldogs at Cashion Wildcats

Brad’s Take: Minco is what we thought they were; one of the top teams in Class A. Cashion has not looked like the Cashion everyone is used to seeing. Maybe because they played a very tough non-district schedule, and the team is somewhat young. But those games bring maturity. Will it be enough to knock down Minco, a team loaded with seniors? Probably not. I’ll take Minco to beat Cashion, 52-17.
